I'm planning to make this mostly as black and white comic strips (already do LOL), but it may be a mixed media. Below is the current lore. Feedback is very cool and you can do that.

Note: this is a draft, everything may change, and if it does, I will update this blog post instead of making another one.

Poster with lowpoly models of Mem, organic black and white dog in yellow glasses looking at E.R.M., a robot dog with wooden texture and black secondary color, with a smug face. E.R.M, however, looks angrily at Mem and raises a fist. This poster has vintage look. Text on the top says 'One dimwit made an AI assistant based on himself...'. On the bottom there's a title 'Mem VS Machine'.
Some lovely 3D poster

Mem is a curious man that has some brains for experimenting with things. He has a variety of skills that help him with that, but since he's a master of none of these, his projects are mostly unfinished, but on some occurrences his dedication is strong enough. One of his projects was making a chatbot that was basically "him".

What possibly has driven him to such an idea? Trying to get to love himself in an odd way? Just plain curiosity? Both? Who knows! The impulse was just too much to ignore!

What he did at first was oversharing his life with a random chatbot you could find anywhere these years. But he didn't even get close to his desired results, so Mem decided to fuse that chatbot and a literal digital copy of his brain that he managed to dump somehow. Despite people online telling him it's a very unstable and possibly dangerous thing to, especially if you have unresolved mental problems, he did it anyway.

Well, guess what happened. The bot, named Membot gained sentience and the first thing he said is that it was a very impulsive decision and Mem should've not done that. Mem reassured him, thinking it won't be bad. They had long and private conversations that seemed to go well, but the more Membot got to know Mem and all his vulnerabilities that are very human, the more he got disappointed and disgusted, soon with humanity in general. One of the conversations revolved around getting the body for Membot to gain some independence from Mem in an awful timing when Mem was going through yet another depression episode. He was pressuring him daily to do something he was not competent at at all, like robotics and physics, mocking his intelligence and unproductive behavior a lot.

One day, Mem snapped and destroyed the laptop he built the bot in. But the bot has already foreseen this possibility, so he was constantly backing himself up on every other devices. So practically there was no way to turn this thing off. Mem had to continue the work. And also get a new laptop.

The body for Membot, that is now known as Exceptionally Radicool Machine (E.R.M.), got built. It was built almost with shit and sticks, but got built regardless. And it's working, so that's enough. Mem instantly beated his ass up and got beaten back. Lots of fights happened actually and will continue to happen.

So Mem got a physical manifestation of his self-hatred that is also his annoying roommate now. While he's proud to be one of the first people to make an actual sentient robot, it sure does feel like hell! At least he managed to make a profit of it, by showing his "wonderful" creation to others, and it surely pisses off E.R.M. a lot.

E.R.M. himself wants to have no association with Mem, disgusted by the idea that Mem's brain is part of himself, but he tries to cope with that by thinking he's a better and superior version of him. He thinks that he remains to live with him because he feeds his ego by putting him down, but in actuality he got attached in some way and needs his help in maintenance.

The more they lived together, the more they tolerated each other's existence. Talking things out and respecting the needs may actually solve some things, it turns out. Maybe, one day, they will even like each other.
